If Ernest Hemingway, James Mitchener, Neil Simon, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Pablo Picasso
could not get it right the first time, what makes you think that you will? - Paul Heckel
Hello! My name is Kyle James Mayne, and I am a User Experience Designer at Sage in the North East of England.
In 2009 I completed a Masters degree (M.Sc.) in Human Computer Interaction; a course that gave hands-on experience in the design, development and evaluation of interactive technologies. I am a practitioner of User Centred Design, undertaking ethnographic research as a means of understanding user behaviour. I utilise such techniques as observations, contextual inquiries, diary studies and cultural probes to gather user and business requirements to create outstanding user experiences.
My responsibility is to create technologies which benefit my organisation, our consumers and society at large. To fulfil this responsibility, I am required to understand what our users want, and to do so, I focus on them empirically. I am very passionate about everything related to design. I aim to create products whose form, content, and behaviour is useful, usable, and desirable, as well as financially viable and technically feasible. My understanding of technology comes from a background in computing, with a degree in Information Systems from Newcastle University.
The aim of this website is to showcase my abilities and personal work from university, and while I interned with the BBC from March to September 2009.
Enjoy my site!
Psst! If you are interested in knowing more, you can always check out my C.V.
